We had a wonderful time in Florence and would happily return to stay in this lovely apartment again!
Our host, Lorenzo, was very friendly, helpful and kind. When we arrived earlier than planned, I phoned him and he came as quickly as he could to meet us, let us in and show us around. He was also kind enough to let us check out a few hours late, so that we could make the most of our final half-day in Florence, and he helped us organise a taxi back to the train station when we had trouble doing so on the day we left. The apartment itself was lovely and cool, and well-positioned, close to many of the main attractions, and with some very nice trattorias nearby for quick and easy meals.
The front door was very stiff and tricky to open from the inside without both of us pitching in at the same time! If I'd been there alone, I worry I might have been stuck inside, unable to get out!
