    Lovely cottage, Bakewell is lovely, would stay again.

    Near to town centre, lovely & comfortable. Very clean. Little sun room nice addition.

    The sheets weren’t cotton. Stairs were a bit dodgy , need to be careful. Steep hill from town so could be difficult to walk from town for some people.

    Well appointed cottage. Very quiet. Steep but short walk into town centre

    On the day of arrival I was informed that the code to access house keys would not be available until 2 hours before check in. I still had no code at this time, even though I had responded to 3 messages to confirm that I agreed to house rules. A link was sent to me which did not work. After the check in time, a private number and a lady who would only provide her first name wanted me to transfer another £200 and copy of photo ID When I declined, she would not give me the code to get the keys. We sought advice from various professionals who deal with the local travel industry on a daily basis, who were appalled. Unable to contact booking.com apart from an automated AI response. 5.30pm, we had no access to the property and no accommodation. Further phone call from the lady with no surname again making the same request, which I refused. Next phone call, she gave us the code, saying she had discussed it with her team, but unable to say who she or they are. Cottage is lovely, but welcome information is out of date wi-fi code, wrong tv instructions , and a note with parking permit saying that if misplaced, it would be billed at £150. Council website says the permit costs £13!

    Bottom part of the stairs were rather dangerous.

    Great stay, thoroughly enjoyable

    Great beds, comfortable lounge area with great TV. Excellent kitchen with all you need. Beautiful outside Terrace. All the negative reviews have been dealt with e.g. tea and coffee provided. Shower gel in bathroom etc etc. I wasn’t inconvenienced at all. Perfect day.
