Paid for a luxury experience & received what could be described as a Motel 6.

The room was very clean, the heater stunk, they had gluten free muffins, and the front desk staff, and chocolate milk.

To start let me preface by the initial complaint that should be made of note and of record. Arriving at the facility there was for some reason an obscure line of guests. We were informed that the keycard system was having technical issues and they could not issue keycards. This was an issue across multiple Marriot hotels apart of the network/chain. This was on Thursday when we arrived to check in, our flight was already delayed and then our check in was delayed as a single employee had to walk a guest all the way to their room to unlock the door for them. The issue had remained until Friday. We had specifically picked Fairfield Marriot as we wanted to experience a comfortable & accommodating stay. Not having access to facilities, delays in service, delay in entry to your own room, and then the issue with the room itself did not make us feel as welcomed guests but more of prisoners. The position of our room truly disturbed and ruined our experience at this location. The architect who designed this room’s location, should have to stay in this room to understand the heinous illogical placement of said room. Room 139 is strategically placed to be flanked on three sides. On one side there is an emergency side exit door that for some reason the entire building thought was the only way to get in and out of this building. Or for some reason the optimal smoking spot as the door was opened every hour like clockwork. Every single time this door was opened the room shook like a tectonic plate was shifting. On the other side of the wall the bed frame sits against I was hammered by the noise of the breakfast station being raided like the beaches of Normandy in WW2. It’s as if I was plastered into the wall of a restaurant dishwasher pit as I listened to a symphony of clattering plates & the morning rush of continental breakfast enjoyers.

Decent stay. Very inconvenient with key cards not working.

    Breakfast and proximity to interstate.

No keys or keycards. The host had to let us in our room.
