Excellent luxurious stay.
We’ve stayed at Fairmont many times- it’s a fabulous hotel set in beautiful Scottish golfing countryside. Clean modern and decadent.
Out only complaint was a little disappointed with La Cucina their Italian restaurant within the hotel. The food was very underwhelming. We were with another couple and we had been telling them how good it was - this was our first time back in a few years and 2 of the meals were awful. Chicken in the Caesar salad was dry and hard as a bone with no anchovies, lettuce was limp.. the arrabbiata pasta was far too hot and inedible. We had focaccia to share but had to ask for oil & balsamic and were served a meagre amount which wasn’t enough for the bread! They did offer us an alternative and didn’t charge us thankfully for both meals. But, for a hotel of this calibre the food should be 5 star. We were very disappointed.
