    profits over guest experience

    Large enough for a family

    The cleanliness was disappointing. The living room floor had not been swept properly, and there was black mould in both bathrooms and the kitchen, raising serious concerns about hygiene and potential health risks. The mattress was extremely old and uncomfortable, with springs digging into my body. It felt like sleeping directly on bare coiled springs, making a good night's sleep impossible. The recycling instructions did not match the facilities provided. We were asked to recycle, which I fully support, but only one bin was available. We were also required to use the allocated car park. However, local people parked on the street, and we soon understood why: our freshly washed car was covered in bird droppings the following morning, as the car park was under trees full of birds. The accommodation appeared to be company-managed, despite the advertisement giving the impression of an individual host. In my experience, company-run accommodation often lacks the personal care and attention provided by individual hosts. The experience felt more focused on profit than guest satisfaction. Finally, the follow-up email was worded in a passive-aggressive manner rather than being welcoming or helpful. Overall, the property fell short in cleanliness, comfort and hospitality. I expected much better for the price paid..

    Location was great for us. Facilities were very good. The accommodation was clean had everything we needed.

    Lovely spacious house with good facilities. Clean, comfy beds, garden, good kitchen.

    No hot water in sink. Had to use bath
