The staff were all very good but the place in very rundown

Very handy and comfortable for a stopover near the M6.
Very handy for a stopover near the M6. Nice old fashioned building, lovely garden and terrace.
The charming night porter who was there when I stayed before may have retired. The guy who was on made Basil Fawlty look like the host of the century. Situation was resolved eventually but it wasn't the best experience when I first arrived.

Ein schönes typisches englisches Hotel, wie aus einem Film. Toller Park am Hotel. Wir dürften in einem separaten Raum mit unserem Hund zum Dinner. Sehr aufmerksames Personal beim Dinner und Frühstück. Es wäre schade wenn solche Hotels verschwinden.
Schließung der Fenster... Es ging nicht richtig zu, war sehr undicht. Die Bedienung der Wasserarmatur der Dusche ist nicht ganz einfach, da stehst du dann unter heißem Wasser.
