  Erholsame Tage in Meersburg

  Sehr gute Lage zwischen Meersburg-Hafen (BSB-Schiffe) und Meersburg-Fähre (Fähre zw. Konstanz und Meersburg). Viele Gaststätten in unmittelbarer Nähe.

  Keine Einkaufsmöglichkeit über Lebensmittel etc. in der Innenstadt. Man muss 1 km zum EDEKA laufen, der zudem oben auf dem Hügel liegt. Hinweis: Dafür kann die Vermieterin nichts! Wahrscheinlich sind die bestimmt sehr hohen Pachtpreise in der Unterstadtstraße dafür verantwortlich.

  Location

  So this was a huge mistake to book! Not because of the location of the apartment but because of the owner! She is so horrible I would advise everyone to avoid booking here! We were told the apartment was available from three - we turn up and then told it’s not clean! Abruptly without an apology! You have to get the key from the shop so we then told to go away we went across the road to get a drink feeling a little bemused! Then the next thing which was horrible! We went back to collect the key to again she told it’s not ready and to then see a woman pass out in the shop - the owner ignored the lady and said hey not my issue - I said you should call an ambulance to which she said hey it’s not my issue! This lady was then challenged by many people on the shop who all asked for help. She was so rude to everyone in her shop and also to us that it’s clear she doesn’t care about anyone so avoid please ! Crazy lady with a crazy attitude ! She also has asked google to turn off reviews so when you search on google surprisingly you can’t see any reviews about her shop or apartment ! Hmmmm

  Good base for a short stay, in convenient location.

  Convenient location, very close to lake, boat dock, points of interest and many restaurants and bars. Apartment is spacious and had everything needed for a short stay. A homely space where you could relax after a busy day.

  Double bedroom at back needed windows closed and shutters down to eliminate noise. Front twin bedroom only has thin curtains which do not block out light. Café downstairs starts to prepare at 6am, metal tables and chairs put out and 2 awnings extended (café is in shade in morning so is this necessary?). This was very noisy for the person sleeping in the front bedroom, even with all windows closed. Added to this was noise from the apartment above, from 5am every morning. Sleeping was not restful, a shame on holiday. Booking.com description states there is a washing machine, which we were hoping to use. This is incorrect.

  Beware of scam with Kurtax

  Sizeable apartment located in the center of Meersburg, just around the corner from the lake.

  The owner scammed us and made us pay much extra for Kurtax (tourist tax). She blamed Booking.com for not calculating for 4 people and four nights and therefore charged us 40 euro extra which was not on the quote Booking.com gave while booking. Because she only gave a handwritten receipt I had lots of issues with Booking.com getting the money back. Booking.com needed a proper invoice to process my complaint.
