Beautiful hotel, excellent staff and delicious bread, but some disappointing experiences.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. When a member of staff asked us about our dinner, I shared our disappointment with the steak (see below). She immediately offered to pass our feedback on to the kitchen and gave us a 50% discount on the steak. Of course, we would much rather have paid the full price and enjoyed a good steak, but we genuinely appreciated her prompt response and willingness to put things right. The rooms and communal areas were also beautifully decorated, creating a lovely atmosphere. The bread served at the hotel was the best we had throughout our entire trip to France. It had a wonderfully crispy crust and a soft, fluffy interior. Absolutely delicious!
We ordered a Normandy ribeye steak. Although it was still red in the middle, the meat was extremely tough and difficult to chew. We eventually gave up and left about half of it uneaten. In fact, the waiter had already struggled to carve the steak, almost as if he were sawing through it. I jokingly suggested that he might need a sharper carving knife, but it became clear that the problem was actually the toughness of the beef itself. The road signage at the entrance to the hotel could also be clearer, as it was not immediately obvious where to turn in. There was also an unexpected incident at breakfast involving the orange juice machine. An orange suddenly flew out of the machine and knocked a plate out of my hand, causing it to fall to the floor and shatter. Fortunately, I was not injured. I reported the incident to a member of staff, who said that she had never heard of such an incident happening before and would arrange for someone to inspect the machine.

Lovely atmosphere
Our room was not quite what I thought I had booked. Up 2 flights of stairs when we are both in our 80’s was not perfect, but we manages well and had a lovely time

Comfortable, romantic, well worth the stay.
This is a lovely place to stay. We stayed three nights and really enjoyed our room and surrounding area. Our room was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was very good. We elected not to eat at the restaurant because of our schedule. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for, and my expectations were fully meet. This is a very romantic, pleasant place to stay and is located near the Normandy beaches. I highly recommend it.
Nothing to add.

A charming escape into the beauty of the French countryside and the rich history of Normandy!
I love the staff and the beautiful gardens. Furthermore, the breakfast staff were delightful. The food was ok, but I truly enjoyed the people there.
How out of the way it was. We should had stayed in Bayeux instead to be more central. However, I was glad to have stayed there. We definitely loved our two day stayed there.
