Just the ticket
Our first visit, just two nights midweek, we absolutely loved it. Peaceful location nestled in the sierra, south and west facing terraces to sit out, apartment nicely separated from other guests. The pool is a real bonus! The apartment had everything we needed. Breda and Thierry are kind and experienced hosts and treated us so well. It's the sort of easygoing and straightforward experience that has almost disappeared in these fussy and overhosted times. Hope to return, but for longer.
Nada. Be aware that the pueblo is a little way away, there is but one bar and a small supermarket, so be organised!

Delightful 10-day stay in a quaint, rural Andalusian retreat.
My wife and I loved the location, which is very central for hiking and exploring western Andalusia, as well the quiet country serenity. The ability to close the shutters in the bedroom and block out all light (and sleep in) was helpful for overcoming jet lag. I still miss sleeping there. The hosts are absolutely wonderful and gave us very helpful tips for our follow on travels in Morocco. Their dog is a kind gentle spirit who occasionally accompanied me for an afternoon nap on the terrace.
The hot water in the shower could be intermittent, but we readily adapted. We scared ourselves more than once driving twisty winding road that leads up to Cortes de le Frontera - and we were the sober ones! Coming down from the town, the 10th curve seemed most treacherous.
