Served our purpose but on value for money we wouldn’t book again.

The views are stunning. Lots of space in the house and lots to entertain people.

Bed in main bedroom very creaky and uncomfortable. Decor very dated. With ten people in the house using the bathrooms and kitchen the water pressure is very poor. We had to wash every item we used in the kitchen and for eating as all of it was dirty with old food particles stuck to it. Given the cost for two nights and the heavy emphasis on “leave it as you found it” this was definitely a negative. Having said that, all the areas dealt with by the cleaner were very clean, but it seems things used by previous guests hadn’t been checked. As the weather was so good we contemplated a bbq, however the state of the bbq made this impossible.

Pleasant stay. Excellent views but the property needs some TLC.

The property was spacious and the en-suite bathrooms were very useful. The beds were clean and comfy. The property had excellent views over the countryside with nice outdoor seating areas.

The property was not cleaned up to our expectation. Lots of cobwebs and moths in the home when we arrived. There were dirty kitchen items on arrival. We contacted the host who offered for a deep clean to take place whilst we were there but at that point we had cleaned pans as we needed to use them. There were bedrooms/cupboards locked during our stay which we understood but those locked rooms had windows open during our whole stay which we didn’t like as it meant someone could’ve potentially accessed the property. The hosts were made aware but no action was taken. The bins were full at the start of our stay and did not get emptied during our stay (no guidance on bin collection day given in the information book) so rubbish built up quite easily. The driveway is very steep which wasn’t an issue other than overgrown bushes which made the drive up quite tight as there is a wall on the opposite side. We had planned to take our dog but due to unforeseen circumstances he did not come. However, the garden was not secure in any areas as the gate was broken. The large bottom lawn had sheep poo all over it so it appeared animals roamed on this when the property is not occupied.
