  Stunning location, but disappointing for a group of 12

  The location is stunning, and the accommodation was very clean and nicely furnished. Beautiful views and walks and only a short drive into Buxton

  However, several aspects of our six-day stay were disappointing. The accommodation * Advertised as a six-bedroom house for 12 people, but actually comprised three separate units, two sleeping five people and one sleeping two. This wasn’t what we expected and made it difficult for the whole group to spend time together. * The dining table only seated eight people and the lounge comfortably accommodated nine, leaving insufficient communal seating for everyone. Kitchen facilities * Cutlery, crockery and kitchen equipment were scattered across three separate kitchens, so we had to gather items from all three to cater for the group. * We were told we would be fined if items weren’t returned to the correct properties. * Food had to be spread across three fridges, while the single dishwasher and freezer were much too small for 12 people. * There was insufficient suitable kitchen equipment for a group of this size, particularly large serving dishes and baking tins. Bathroom * The ensuite bathroom had an unpleasant smell which became progressively worse over the six days. Access and parking * The long drive to the farm involved opening and closing three gates, which became tiresome with repeated journeys. * Turning cars around to leave was a significant problem. The area inside the final gate was too narrow to manoeuvre easily once more than three cars were parked there, and there was no parking space outside the gate. This was particularly inconvenient and should have been made clear in the property description. Overall, the location is stunning, and the cleanliness and furnishings were good. However, the layout, limited communal space, inadequate kitchen facilities, bathroom smell and difficult access and parking meant the accommodation fell short of our expectations for a group of 12.

  Great location, great property with amazing views and very peaceful. But still close to some great eating pubs and large

  The views out the front were amazing, The location was lovely and remote, It was really well kitted out inside.

  Not much it maybe needed a slightly bigger area to dine in .
