Die Unterkunft ist ruhig gelegen und bis zum Strand kann man bequem zu Fuß gehen. Schöne Wanderrouten entlang des South-West-Coastpaths sind gut zu erreichen.
Die Unterkunft wirkt ein wenig vernachlässigt und ungepflegt, von innen wie von außen. Die alte Bausubstanz und die schlechte Pflege führen zu einem recht muffigen Geruch, besonders im Bad. Im Bad lässt sich auch kein Fenster öffnen. Das Mobiliar ist nett zusammengestellt aber einige Teile müssten aufgrund des desolaten Zustands ausgetauscht werden. Das Bett ist mit 1.20m Breite etwas knapp für 2 Personen. Die Dusche funktioniert nur mäßig und ist aufgrund der schlechten Belüftung schwarz in den Ecken. Die Kissen und Polstersitzmöbel sind voll mit Tierhaaren gewesen als wir ankamen. Insgesamt wirkte alles sehr dreckig und das Geschirr war von den Vorgängern nicht richtig gereinigt, bzw. von der Reinigungskraft dann wohl auch nicht kontrolliert worden.

A lot of TLC needed on this property
Great location and beautiful views over the sea.
Quite run down. The metalwork of the outdoor stairs and balcony was extremely rusty. The garden that the property was in was run down too - overgrown gardens, a dilapidated caravan and a broken greenhouse spoilt the view. Many lights didn’t work. You couldn’t move around without waking your partner as the creaking of the floorboards was sooooo loud. Very restrictive head height in the bedroom. There was such an awful damp/musty smell in the bathroom that we had to go out and buy air fresheners. Couldn’t leave clothing in the bathroom without them reeking. The towels were tiny and extremely thin. There were no pint glasses.

A marvelous stay at the Watchtower. We had a great rest in a lovely place juste few minutes from the sea and near to the touristic locations of south Cornwall. The house is very cosy and has a marvelous decoration.
