  Una finestra sul golfo di sferracavallo

  Svegliarsi con la vista sul Golfo di Sferracavallo è davvero mozzafiato. La casa è tenuta benissimo, curata nei minimi dettagli e molto accogliente. Abbiamo soggiornato qui per una settimana e ci siamo trovati splendidamente. Francesco è una persona speciale, sempre disponibile e attento a ogni nostra esigenza. Un dettaglio che ci ha fatto particolarmente piacere è stata la presenza dei due simpatici cagnolini, Pallina e Paco, che ogni volta ci salutavano dal loro box al nostro rientro. Un’esperienza assolutamente positiva, che rifaremmo senza esitazioni!

  Poor

  The location was good, easy access to Palermo by train. The view from the window was beautiful. There was a locked parking space which was useful for our rental car.

  Where do I start? This is NOT A HOLIDAY APARTMENT FOR RENT. It is not adapted for adults to stay in for a longer period of time. First - sleeping. 4 adults, and for the two beds we were given only two sheets to sleep under together. We had to look for some additional ones in the closet. The sofa bed in the living room was impossible to sleep on - it was worn out, bumpy, uneven and really hard - we had to use additional blankets to make it work somehow. The way it was positioned meant that person sleeping on the inner side of the bed had to 'jump' through the other person if they wanted to go to the bathroom. For 4 people we were given only 2 mugs (chipped) and had to ask for additional ones, and some plates to eat dinner on, as there were none in the flat. There was nothing to wash the dishes with either, we had to buy sponges. The shower in the bathroom was so small that if you were even slightly bigger than average you had no chance of taking a shower. Hot water? Only from time to time, for maybe 1 minute, if you got lucky. There was no space to dry towels, and every surface in the flat was covered with 'decorative objects', meaning there was no space to put your things, or unpack the suitcase (and we only had hand luggage). The only wardrobe space that was available was full of owner's shoes, and we only had a couple of hangers in the bedroom (again, 4 people for a week). There was a terrace with a table and seating, but the owner did not want to tell us how to switch the light on, so one night we had to sit with candles lit until he got home and switched on the light outside. After we left we got a message from the owner complaining that we left a mess and that we should not have touched or mover anything in the flat (which we did not), and that taking additional sheets was not ok, because it cost him money to get them washed (!).

  Superb

  Great location, wonderful view from bedroom, combining small town ambience with good access by train to Palermo. Characterful property. Lock up parking was very good.

  Personally, as pensioners, we found the road noise a bit offputting.
