Disappointing, we were misled about the log burner on my 'must haves'; decor very old-fashioned.

Communication with the host was good and clear prior to our arrival.

More information about the key, as it didn't fit the exterior door I initially tried. Kitchen poorly equipped; only one sharp knife but struggled to cut cheese; log burner on facilities description but laminated house rules notice said it was not to be lit; no handsoap; power outage quickly made the cottage feel cold and dark.

Beautiful cottage, lovely, quiet location and great value for money.

The cottage is beautiful in a lovely quiet location. If you prefer something more lively then this might not be for you as a lot of places have closed nearby.

The only negative was not being able to use the log burner.
