A Cosy Hut on a Breathtaking Island
We had such a lovely stay at the Fisherman’s Hut in Tarbet in August. The hut is small, but it was spotlessly clean, cosy, and so well organised that we had everything we needed. It felt like a little home away from home and was the perfect place to relax after exploring the island. And what a beautiful island it is! The scenery is simply breathtaking, and in some places the landscape looks almost like something from the moon — wild, peaceful, and completely otherworldly. We loved taking in the views and exploring the surroundings. We’ll have some really lovely memories of our time here. Thank you for such a wonderful stay — we would love to come back one day! ❤️
Our only very small issue was that the Wi-Fi wasn’t working during our stay, but honestly, it didn’t spoil our experience at all — there was so much natural beauty to enjoy and plenty of reasons to switch off and simply take it all in.

The Fisherman's Hut: It's bigger on the inside
Die Unterkunft war super gemütlich, sehr sauber, mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht und außerdem mit ganz viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Lage direkt am Wasser ist wunderschön mit tollem Ausblick, gemütlichen Sitzmöglichkeiten draußen und ganz viel Ruhe. Ich hatte außerdem das Glück, Adler und sogar einen Otter zu sehen während meines Aufenthaltes. Ein Auto ist durch die Lage allerdings sehr von Vorteil. Wenn man eins zur Verfügung hat kann man von hier aus sehr gut sowohl die Isle of Harris als auch die Isle of Lewis erkunden. Wenn man noch Tipps für Unternehmungen oder Restaurants braucht, gibt es in der Unterkunft einen liebevoll zusammengestellten Ordner mit allem an Informationen, was man benötigen könnte. Durch die Nähe zum Wasser habe ich des Öfteren Bekanntschaft mit den Midges gemacht, hier sind Mückenspray und ein Mückennetz für den Kopf definitiv hilfreich. Insgesamt ist die Fisherman's Hut die bisher beste Unterkunft, in der ich je Urlaub gemacht habe und ich kann sie nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.
