Relaxing stay
Helpful and friendly staff. Pool facility lovely.
Breakfast menu clear in so far as what each dish / item costs. However I don't think it is reasonable to charge c. £4 for a cup or coffee at breakfast. This should be included.

A slightly dated hotel that needs more care and attention, with limited hot food options and inconsistent staff service.
Location wise it’s very good
The hotel felt a little dated and would benefit from more care and attention to bring it up to a better standard. The choice of hot food was quite limited, and there could have been more options for warm sandwiches. Some members of staff were very good, friendly, and helpful, although the service was a little inconsistent, with others not quite meeting the same standard. Overall, there is room for improvement in both the facilities and the food selection.

It was a good base to explore Rye and Kent from.
The bedroom was clean and comfortable and quiet. There were good bathroom products.
No bath robes were provided for our room, which was a standard twin. We were told we could hire one for £8. The reception staff could do with some training in hospitality. One young lady just remained seated with her legs tucked up on the chair whilst speaking to us. They all seem bored. My vegetarian breakfast was awful, the only palatable item was the baked beans which were hot. The quorn sausage was probably the cheapest on the market, the poached egg was overcooked and sitting on a pile of soggy spinach, the mushroom was tough and cold and the tomatoes undercooked. I told the reception staff who responded by saying they would feed my comments back to the chef, but he wasn't there !! I paid £18!! The Spa area is very tired and needs revamping, especially the ladies showers and sauna and the changing room. I understand some work is going to be carried out. It could be a wonderful hotel with effort and investment.
