    Lovely and homely!

The location was lovely! Close to where i needed

There was a beeping at the front door that would periodically turn on and off randomly all night

    Bad hygiene please improve

    The bed was okay

I hate giving bad scores but honestly the only reason I picked this was because I have a small baby, so I need to wash bottles otherwise I would have stayed at a hotel. I wish flats would let people know you have to climb two flights of stairs to get to your flat which is inconvenient with a five month baby. The property owner was pleasant. the deposit at first was reasonable since people may trash the apartment however, he mentioned it’s used to clean the apartment if people smoke since it would cost more for him to clean the apartment if we just paid the day rate for our stay. This was ironic because when we arrived the place smelt so bad. The cooker was unclean, the sponge had hair on it, I only ended up using the sink and my own equipment (kettle etc ) to clean my babies stuff. I had to lay my baby on my own clothes because I was frightened by the bad hygiene. I couldn’t wait to leave. The bath was dirty so I’m not sure who is cleaning this apartment I had to advise my husband to not use the bath facilities - thankfully we were only staying one night. For the price we spent I felt we were robbed. The hygiene was so bad, I genuinely still feel sick, it was not a comfortable stay. Please clean the apartment, there was nothing luxurious about this apartment, it smelt, it was dirty, it was hot and the noise outside from the pubs felt rather unsafe especially with no lock from inside.

On arrival, the flat was visibly dirty, with stains throughout the floors and on the walls. The living room/kitchen area was visually quite nice and had the potential to be a pleasant space, but unfortunately the visible stains made it feel unhygienic and uncomfortable. The main access door was also broken, and was unable to open it from the inside. Credits to the host for a prompt call regarding this after raising my concern although he did advise I had to crawl through a hole in the door to leave the property, which was obviously not what I expected from the listing. The host advised that he had CCTV placed to ensure safety but with the property being on a busy road with several drunk individuals around it made me anxious about who may crawl through. The property surroundings was also extremely noisy. Both the bedroom and living room were affected by noise from the pubs/street outside, including music and loud chatter. If you are attending with the intention to party it would be not as big of an issue but for relaxation i would advise otherwise. As a result, having the windows open wasn’t really an option, which made the flat feel uncomfortable. There was also a constant beeping alarm next to the main entry door , which was quite irritating during the stay. The stairway leading up to the flat had no lighting, apart from a single motion sensor light immediately outside the door. As a younger girl entering the property alone at night, I found the dark stairway and surroundings quite eerie and uncomfortable. The advertised parking behind the building is not owned by the host, so I understand that its condition is not necessarily within his control. However, I found the area very sketchy and dirty, with a mattress, rubbish and parts of a bed scattered along the ginnel leading to the parking area. I felt very uneasy about leaving my car there and would personally recommend finding alternative parking.
