We loved the location and the views, in the hills north of Florence. The pool was great, property was spacious, comfortable, renovated, well equipped, close to hiking and biking trails and hiking up to the monastery, close to many points of interest should you want to visit. That said, a car is a must both for grocery shopping and getting around. Management and owners very responsive in resolving any issues that arise. For a larger family or friends group you can rent both Mimosa and Nimfea apartments together and be on the same property sharing the same pool.
We stayed in Nimfea apartment which was perfect for 2 people or a family of 4. If there are 4 adults, the bathroom is quite small, so it might be tight and not so comfortable. You would also need a bigger coffee/mocha pot . The only negative was that the garden in front of the apartment was overgrown with weeds and wisteria vines so it needs to be tidied up a bit, the hedges trimmed, but we didn't mind. And as peaceful as the location is, there was some emergency construction noise on our property during our stay, which was beyond the management control so we understand. We would gladly return and recommend to family and friends.
