    We would have enjoyed our stay were it not for the dirty crockery.

    The location was ideal for our requirements

    The crockery and cutlery was put away dirty by the previous tenants. A complaint to Phillipa from the agents was rejected, as "it was the responsibility of the previous tenants" to clean after themselves. This was despite the £90 cleaning charge!

    It was a perfect base to explore Portland.

    Foundry Cottage was absolutely perfect for our ‘pilgrimage’ to Portland to track down our ancestors who lived there in the 17 and 1800s before migrating to Australia. It is ideal for visiting St George’s Church, the Superb Portland Museum, and ideal as a starting point for the many island walks. It was warm, inviting, comfortable, came with all sorts of little surprises and greatly exceeded our expectations.

    As overseas visitors, could you expand on the explanation of how to use the TV controls. It’s not intuitive.
