Lovely place
Absolutely beautiful views and a great location. Has absolutely everything you’d need!
The doors bang loudly if there’s wind and the spotlight outside shines through the light coloured curtains, so it’s very bright.

Great hidden gem in dullstrom, great relax getaway trip for fishing, braai, kids play, and fireplace
immdiate view of the dam, quiet, classic style, fireplace in main and lounge rooms, it is one of the best relaxed trip, a great hidden gen, well equipment house for everything
some light need maintenance and bulb change, perhaps provide more coffee and some basic cooking ingredient like oil and salt paper. If can upgrade technology abit more, consider a smart TV and wireless hifi system

Extremely disappointing stay – dirty, poorly maintained and unacceptable service
Location: close to the town centre.
We specifically requested a 13:00 check-in, which was approved. We arrived at 13:20 after travelling all morning with our baby, only to find the cleaning staff still busy and were told to return at 14:00. We had to hang around town unnecessarily with a tired baby. When we returned after 14:00, the ladies were lounging around. The alarm instructions provided were incorrect and contradicted the instructions inside the house. We followed the instructions given to us, only for the extremely loud alarm to go off within about 10 minutes of activating it, waking our baby. We ended up sleeping without the alarm rather than risk it happening again. The bedroom toilet was broken and overflowed badly, despite us being told at check-in that it had been attended to. The domestic worker was extremely unhelpful. We repeatedly asked her to clean the kitchen, bathroom and mess from the leaking toilet, yet she spent much of her time sitting on her phone. My wife eventually washed the dirty dishes herself. I also had to ask twice for the braai to be cleaned, which was eventually done with obvious irritation. The soaked carpet from the overflowing toilet was simply left crumpled up in the room. The house has numerous maintenance and cleanliness issues: exposed or unsafe-looking plugs and sockets, dirt beyond basic eye-level cleaning, dead pot plants, a dirty fireplace with old half-burned wood left inside, unusable rock-hard sugar and old, blunt kitchen knives. The television is tiny, the remote batteries barely worked, only a few DStv channels were available, and the picture and sound froze every few seconds. Watching rugby, movies or anything else was practically impossible. Overall, the property felt dirty, tired and poorly maintained. The only real positive is the location, which is close to the centre of Dullstroom. Unfortunately, that does not make up for the poor housekeeping, broken amenities, maintenance problems and unacceptable service. Definitely not a stay we would repeat
