    Good stay slightly let down

The location was excellent. Overall, the property was nice enough. The theme was fun, and it was a good enough choice for a couple of nights away with my husband and our friends. Initialy, communication was good. The provision of art supplies and a little portable record player was a nice touch. Beds were comfy and the cottage was clean.

The property was advertised as providing a complimentary breakfast, which from the picture on social media appeared to be a selection of items from Botham's bakers, fruit, eggs, and bread. None of this was provided (although there was a small basket of low quality biscuit/cakes). The cottage was also advertised as having purchasable souvenirs, again none were provided. There wasn't an adequate amount of toilet roll for four guests for two nights. The wifi connection was absolutely horrendous. There was a typo in the wifi password in the info book, which we didn't realise until I had reached out to the owner to confirm the details, who then took the better part of a day to respond to us (hence my previous comment being communication being good initially). Even after we managed to connect, the connection was incredibly poor. Finally, while the theme of the cottage was fun and a lovely idea, the actual paint job is terrible and looks shabby and tired, which made it a little disappointing. Overall our stay was excellent but that was primarily down to the company and location.

Decent and comfortable. Hosts reply quick when you are pre booking and Initally on arrival.

Quirky cottage in a great location.

Felt in the description pre booking this cottage the staircase situation weren’t described. This quirky cottage has steep awkward staircases to the 1st and 2nd floor. We wouldn’t have booked if this had been made clear in pre booking info due to current knee issues. If this ain’t a problem to you then ok. Also minimal tea/coffee and toilet paper. Self catering to me doesn’t mean 2 rolls of loo roll for potentially 4 guests for 3 days. Not really a nearby shop to purchase: would have brought more if I’d known
