Convenient for one night if just passing through
We stayed here for one night with my wife and our two dogs. The location and setting are fantastic, and it was exactly what we needed for a short overnight stay. There’s lots of potential here, and I get the impression that the place is very much a work in progress. Unfortunately, the standard of the accommodation itself was a little disappointing. The property had quite a musty smell throughout, and the bathrooms need some attention before they feel particularly comfortable to use. The sofa was also quite heavily stained, possibly from previous guests’ dogs. That said, I don’t want this review to come across as completely negative. The setting is convenient albeit quite industrial but the location as a quick stop off for us was great, and helpful for us travelling with dogs. I could see it being particularly well suited to a cycling holiday or as a place to stop for a night while passing through. Overall, there’s definitely potential, but if you’re looking for somewhere to spend a longer stay and expect a high standard of accommodation, it may not be quite there yet.
For the price we paid I expected a higher standards.
