Nothing.
Absolutely nothing. There was not a single redeeming quality about this property. From the moment I arrived, the entire experience was disappointing, uncomfortable, and unpleasant. First, the customer service was absolutely horrendous. The level of hospitality was severely lacking, and I genuinely questioned whether guest satisfaction was even a priority. The property itself had a strange, eerie, and unsettling atmosphere. The overall appearance and layout felt uninviting, poorly maintained, and completely devoid of warmth or character. The location was equally disappointing, as I did not find it particularly appealing or convenient. Another ridiculous issue was the complete lack of air conditioning in the lobby. In such a warm climate, providing a comfortable, climate-controlled common area should be a basic hospitality standard. Instead, the hotel kept its doors wide open, allowing mosquitoes to enter freely and bite guests. It is absurd that paying customers should have to deal with insects simply while spending time in the lobby. Perhaps the most unacceptable part of the stay was the hotel’s complete failure to notify guests about a massive religious procession taking place directly outside the property. From approximately 2:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., crowds marched through the streets with continuous drumming and loud activities, making it virtually impossible to sleep. To be clear, my frustration is not with the religious celebration itself, but with the hotel’s complete lack of transparency. There was absolutely no advance notification during booking or before arrival that such a significant overnight disturbance would occur. Interestingly, the hotel was offering discounted rates during this period, which I now understand much better. Whether the discount was directly related to the event or not, the timing certainly raises questions. Had I been informed beforehand, I would have made a completely different booking decision.
