A spacious comfortable base to explore the area near San Sebastian
It's a spacious, clean, comfortable house, not a far drive from San Sebastian and the other beaches to the west, like Getaria and Zarautz. We also used this as a base to explore Bilbao, as well as other sites nearby like the church of Saint Ignacius in Loyola, and the Unesco site with the cave drawings is nearby. The village has a couple basic cafes and taverns, a small grocery, and even a doctors office and pharmacy, all within 5 minutes walk. The hosts were very friendly and were able to get us a few extra things that we requested.
The kitchen was pretty well stocked but could have used some more basics, like butter knives and bigger chopping boards. There's no AC but they did give us some fans, we were there during the heat wave... as long as it was cool in the morning you could air it out and then close the shutters and the house didn't warm up at all during the day.
