A comfortable old apartment, in a perfect location, in the most beautiful city of Stockholm.
A very spacious apartment, in a lovely old building, right in the heart of the old town (Gamla Stan), it was equipped with everything needed for a short stay, especially for travelers who might want to prepare their own meals. e.g.. full kitchen. Also there was a washing machine, iron and ironing board, tv etc. Homely feel, good heating. There were loads of very good restaurants, cafes etc. within close walking distance, as were there many good sites of interest to visit e.g. The Royal Palace, the Noble Museum.
As it's an old building, there is no lift, and a significant spiral staircase to climb to get to each apartment. For travelers with several or very heavy suitcases, this is challenging. It could be noisy at certain times of the day as other residents came and went, the noise of voices, doors slamming etc. echoing due to the nature of the hard tiled floors and stairwells. I found the bed to be very hard and uncomfortable, personally I like a less firm bed. The bathroom whilst functional, had a distinct smell of a smelly drain, the shower curtain smelled, and the shower tiles need a good clean with bleach.

Great apartment and location, but very poor help with parking.
Nice and spacious apartment in an older building with lovely views of the old town. The old town is right out the door with many beautiful sites within easy walking distance. Excellent location for exploring Stockholm’s Gamla Stan!
We’d give top all ratings, but the instructions provided for parking our car were terrible, despite multiple requests for help in our original booking and several other messages (one reply simply said “available on Södermalm”, but that’s an ENTIRE ISLAND, not an address!) We spent 1+ frustrating hours driving around before finally finding a garage about 25 minutes walk away for $50 per day (and 24 hour max stay!) After our 3 day stay, we found a garage only 15 minutes walk away for $30 per day, with no time limit. This info should all have been provided by the host; we can’t be the only guest arriving by car.
