Naturally, there is nothing to like about this kind of attitude from the host; she insisted on charging the full price for the two children—whose stay should have been included—rather than just the cost of breakfast. The landlady was unpleasant!
It was an unpleasant experience; the landlady lashed out at us the moment we arrived because she had received a Booking.com reservation for two adults and two infants under the age of one—which was indeed what the booking stated. I find it unacceptable that she confronted and attacked us over this. Furthermore, at every breakfast, there was a lack of food suitable for children, and even basic bread was missing. We also had to pay an additional €224 for the children's stay; for that total price, we could have found better accommodation. I don't know whose mistake it was, but I can say that the landlady was very unpleasant—even aggressive. I generally don't like writing reviews, but this happened on the last day of a wonderful trip. She claimed this wasn't the first time it had happened to her, and I’m not convinced she isn't intentionally listing the property in a misleading way. The room was supposed to have two beds according to the advertisement, but the room she showed me—which was meant to be the one—contained only one bed and two cribs; this didn't match the listing. She deliberately didn't offer us the room we expected and instead "upgraded" us to another room that simply had the beds shown in the ad. Unfortunately, it felt like a scam.

Despite this experience, we genuinely enjoyed many aspects of our stay and would otherwise have been very happy to recom
We had a lovely stay at this hotel and, overall, really enjoyed our time here. The location was excellent, the breakfast was absolutely delicious, and our room was spacious, comfortable and very well suited for our stay. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade, which was a lovely touch as we were staying to celebrate our first wedding anniversary.
Yesterday evening, someone opened our room door using a physical key. We later spoke with the owner, who explained that it was her mother checking that the windows were closed for the night, and that she had mistakenly opened our door. She left quickly, and we initially accepted that this appeared to be an honest mistake. However, a similar thing happened again this morning at around 8am. While I was in the shower and my husband was in the room, the housekeeper opened our door using a card key, again without knocking or announcing themselves first. Having two different people enter our room within approximately 12 hours using two different keys was understandably very unsettling and made us question the communication and procedures between the staff. We want to be clear that we do not believe there was any malicious intention, and nothing was taken from the room. However, entering an occupied guest room without knocking is a serious privacy concern, particularly when it happens twice in such a short period of time. Thankfully, on both occasions the circumstances did not lead to anything more serious. Nevertheless, we strongly recommend that the hotel improve communication between staff and ensure that everyone is completely clear on when and how guest rooms can be entered.
