We stayed for four nights at Gäste-Appartementhaus – Urlaubsresort Hafele in Sankt Jakob in Defereggen, and it was a wonderful fit for our family of four. Our two-bedroom apartment was spacious, comfortable, and very well suited for a family. We really enjoyed the facilities, especially the pool and spa, as well as the various outdoor areas where the kids could play. The kitchen was small but perfectly functional, and there was a nice dining area. The cleanliness deserves special mention—it was remarkably clean throughout the apartment.

The only downside was that the kitchen and bathrooms were not stocked with some basic essentials. It would have been helpful to have simple items such as salt, pepper, sugar, and coffee, as well as hand soap and shampoo. Shampoo was provided after we asked for it. There is a supermarket nearby, so this wasn't a major problem, but buying full-size packages for just a few days inevitably means leaving a lot unused, which feels unnecessary and wasteful.
