    Best holiday in a long time

    Friendliness of the Staff, location, food exceptional especially the evening meals which were available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Made us feel part of the family and gave us great recommendations of places to visit.

    Richtig gutes Frühstück, auch das Restaurant, hat Freitag, Samstag und Sonntag geöffnet, top.

    Die Familie ist ein besonderer Gastgeber, mit wohlfühl Faktor.

    Zimmer war ein wenig klein, aber auch günstig im Preis, von daher, kein Problem.

    We had a very relaxing, and cozy stay at this place.

    The hotel sits on a quiet location and is good for hiking, but also just very near to the town proper. The restaurant serves good food, and the price is not expensive. We enjoyed the stay and the warm hospitality by the staff. Will surely come back next time.

    Exceptionally good value accommodation for a tour of the region.

    After checking in at the main restaurant / bar building I was shown to a separate house across the road and given a room on the first floor. The room may be considered a little dated in its décor but was clean, of a good size and perfectly functional. There was ample off-road parking directly outside. Back at the main building there is a decent terrace where an evening beer or meal can be taken. A very good breakfast is also served here in the mornings, the staff were always pleasant and helpful. The location is very rural being a little way outside Oberharmersbach, very tranquil and an excellent base for touring the Schwartzwald / Black Forrest region due to its central location. The price I was charged for my four-night stay was exceptionally good value.

    Nothing that I didn’t like, but bear in mind the restaurant / bar seems not to be open every evening - it is worth checking what may be available in advance of your stay.
