    I was very disappointed and felt deceived.

    False advertising.

    We were put in a room in a different building, which was referred to as a "wing". I paid to stay in a historic hotel, and this certainly wasn't it. This was a bait-and-switch.

    Great stay at the General Palmer. That was a last minute reservation and we loved the place : beautiful victorian building and well-preserved historic decor, large comfortable room, close to the railroad station and its wonderful museum, perfect downtown location, easy parking, friendly staff. Typical century-old american place that we europeans love.
