    You get what you pay for

    Perfect location near the Piazza de Ferrari, right between the centroistorico and the new town. The unit is on floor 1 of a very classy mixed-use building with a receptionist and a gorgeous spiral marble staircase. The beds are comfortable, the place is large, and the rolling shutters do a good job of keeping light out.

    From the beautiful staircase you walk into one of the chintziest, most slapdash apartment flip jobs I have ever seen in my life. I wasn't expecting The Ritz at this price point but this place was just unprofessional. It clearly was not "remodeled" that long ago, and somehow there were already handles falling off the doors and curtains falling out of the wall. It was sad to think that this was probably a very nice home once in the past. They do not maintain the place well; multiple lights were out, thick layer of dust on the tops of the wardrobes, etc. Filled with the absolute bare minimum of cheap-as-possible Ikea/Amazon Basics fixtures. Showerhead was in need of both repair and unclogging; it barely worked. Anything other than a top sheet is considered "extra" in warmer months, and you will have to put the mattress up on the wall and practically disassemble the bedframe to get to the blankets, even the thin ones. The "Wonderful Italy" management company, despite their large portfolio, was very slow to respond and difficult to converse with. Check-in takes place across 2 additional websites beyond booking.com and it took about 30 minutes for the guest info to transfer from Website 2 to Website 3 in order to continue. I would not book again at any of their properties.
