    Lovely base to explore the northern part of the Netherlands from.

    I stayed here in Burum, a lovely dutch tranquil village, for a week with family and we thoroughly enjoyed the accomodation. It was clean , spacious and comfortable. Very modern. Lovely beds. You need a car to get to places but it is close to the sea, half an hour from pretty city Leeuwarden, which is well worth a visit. Beautiful working mill just behind the property, which we were allowed to view.

    We stayed here during a heat wave and, as it is a top floor flat, it got quite warm which didn't really bother us during the day as we were out a lot , but the nights were uncomfortably warm. Shame that Burum no longer has a shop of any kind.
