We had a lovely break and the scenery was beautiful.

The location of the cottage was perfect.

I was disappointed when I arrived as it wasn’t clean and there was a fusty smell in the twin bedroom. One major complaint was the dangerous plug for the kitchen. It had obviously been broken for a while but really needs attention as soon as possible.

The village itself was lovely and very welcoming. The local pub does good food and had a lovely atmosphere. The beach is a five min walk away and parking is good at the public car park just down the road. The cottage was cosy however we did have some issues. It's not far to fairbourne and if you had to stay in llwyngwril you have all the amenities that you could need in one village.

The cottage is full of Welsh charm unfortunately it doesn't seem to have been too well maintained. It wasn't particularly clean with mouse droppings in the back of some of the plate cupboards. The log burner had a huge crack in the glass with a small hole at the top which meant when we burnt logs it was constantly drawing, also no top draw bar to help close it down further. The shower drain was clogged full of hair and gunk in general. There is also a plug in the kitchen which has gone on fire and still has a piece of socket sticking out. We where informed about this by the owners and that they where waiting on an electrician to come and fix it. However upon looking at the guest book it's possible the socket has been like this for quite some time. It's not well covered to stop little fingers getting in there. It's such a shame because the cottage itself felt cosy, the beds where comfy and it would have been a lovely place to stay if it hadn't have been for the above issues. Some of which where quite unsafe.

I would definitely come back to Llwyngwril, but unfortunately, not to the Glasfor Cottage .

The location itself is very good and convenient for visiting interesting Welsh towns and historic sites . A very quiet and peaceful village with friendly people

The cleanliness of the house is below any acceptable standard . I don’t know whether the owner or the cleaning company is responsible for it , but this time we have encountered such an unpleasant problem . Dirty carpets with disgusting stains right at the entrance . Black pets hair on the towels. Dust and cobwebs, this really should not happen. The bathroom sink kept getting blocked, it’s a good thing my husband was able to unblock it . The electric cooker is very old, the markings have been worn away, and it doesn’t work properly. With a little effort and a small investment, this could be an excellent property. I’m sorry that, for the first time , I have to leave such a negative review.
