    Quick stayover in Clarens

    We had a 1 night stay over at the Golden Gate hotel. We initially thought we booked at the hotel but was surprised that we had booked a chalet. The chalet was perfect with its own braai (BBQ) outside and all the amenities required for a proper self catering experience. Would definitely stay there again as it about a 15 minute scenic drive to Clarens.

    The best location we ever had.

    The location is the best we ever had. The staff is very kind and helpfull. The hotelrooms are good but need some attention. The restaurant serves a good buffet during breakfast and diner. Overall a very good location to stay.

    The surroundings are beautiful. The chalet is old, but ok. The food for breakfast and dinner in the restaurant is terrible. Cold meat and pasta and vergetables at the buffet. The lounge snacks are better, but not open after 18:00
