Hard to say.
I have been using Booking for 15 years and this is my 1st negative review and the 1st time when I submitted a complaint to the customer service. To begin, until the last minute check-in was uncertain. The host promised to send a description of her appearance but didn't. Upon arrival at the address no one was there. Only after I messaged her again she described herself. We circled back and finally found her, though she wasn't at the spot marked on the map. Next, the parking spaces in the garage were extremely cramped and weirdly located. Moreover, only 1 of 2 promised spaces was available. The 2nd was occupied by another car which the host refused to move. While giving parking advices in Spanish she waved her hands holding keys, hitting my car several times. To avoid any damage I said that I will use a paid public parking. Rather than just accepting this she criticized my driving skills asking "Didn't they teach you this in driving school?!" Finally I used 24.5 euro/day parking. Although I had submitted all requested personal data upon booking, she demanded it again at 10 PM after our long drive and "parking adventures". She made comments like "Why do you live in this country but hold another nationality?!" and "Why do you and your wife have different last names?!" I began to feel like I was a criminal. Finally she surprisingly announced there will be no running water from early morning until lunchtime, unmentioned prior our arrival. No bottled water was provided but just an advice "Change your tomorrow morning plans and visit a beautiful winery nearby". After she left we spent our late evening filling a bucket and pots to be able to fulfill our basic human needs the next morning. Exhausted, I contacted Booking to explain the situation and to request a refund. During following negotiations the host declined any compensation.
