Nice, but hard to get to
The beds were clean and comfortable. The outside area connected to the apartment was spacious and inviting, There was plenty of seating including a picnic table, bench and coffee table and two-person covered lounger. The view of the mountains was breathtaking. There is an elevator which was nice after lugging all of our luggage. Every morning there is coffee and fresh bakery bread available for the taking.
The apartment consisted of one small bedroom enclosure with two twin beds, and the queen bed was situated behind a half wall and the TV (no complete privacy from the overall apartment/ living space). The bathroom was large with a deep tub/shower combo. It was quite deep and my 73 year old mom couldn’t enter or exit. There is a community bus system you are given a pass for, but for the life of us we could not quite master. It shuts down fairly early in the evening and the only way to get back to the hotel is by either trekking up the substantial hill leading to the apartment or taking a $25 taxi ride from the center of town. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who has heavy luggage, mobility issues or a large family unless using a rental car (or taxi if means allow). The hill is too long and too steep to comfortable maneuver. You will be sorry.

Fantastic apartment, stay here
Do yourself a favour and stay here when you're in Ortesei. Large, clean, beautifully decorated apartment with the most amazing views over the valley and surrounding mountains. Our apartment had a large outdoor area and small garden whilst was perfect for watching the sunset with a local glass of red. Well kitted out kitchen, indoor/outdoor pool, separate shared laundry. Friendly staff and some small supplies for breakfast provided.
The views come at the cost of a decent uphill walk from the town centre. There is a bus but it didn't come according to the timetable, uber doesn't exist and taxis are infrequent. Best to have a car if you don't like dragging your suitcase up a hill. There aren't any nearby restaurants so you need to walk back into the city centre or self cater.
