Good location. Nice staff. Decor needs updates.
Location was great. Valet is $24/night (did not use); ample public parking very very close for a few bucks. In general hotel needs a lot of work -- peeling paint, poor lighting in the room, carpets are worn/look dirty and needs to be replaced in hallways, scuffed paint on door, elevators banged up.

Glad we came to Lake Placid and stayed at hotel but wouldn't stay there again
location on Main Street was great because we could walk to everything. Breakfast was very good.
only one elevator in service so long waits. we were on the 5th floor in a suite and could hear constant noises from floor above us - children running, weird creaks and sound of doors opening, strange noises during the night. Is this hotel haunted? Staff at check in were not helpful. We arrived 40 minutes early but room wasn't ready. Was told it would be available in fifteen minutes. That didn't happen. finally at 4 we asked again and were told just a few minutes. Then were able to go to room. Meanwhile we watched several couples check in ahead of us.
