Quiet, relaxing, private getaway
My partner & I had a wonderful time. It felt quiet & private. I think the owner lives in the upstairs unit, (which may be a legal requirement for short-term rental properties in Astoria) but we didn't really hear them. It had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable, the dining island was convenient, & the heated toilet seat was a nice addition. The renovation to create this unit was tastefully done & the dedicated parking space was very helpful. We would stay here again. Even though it's not directly downtown, you can walk along the waterfront & be downtown fairly quickly (or it's a quick drive). Being in a neighborhood made it much quieter than staying downtown.
Only some minor things to note: there are a few small stairs (it is a downstairs unit, but it gets plenty of light & doesn't feel dark or smell musty). The floor is a little wavy/uneven, so if you have balance issues, be mindful. The stools at the dining island are comically squeaky (might need some lube). The fridge or plumbing in the kitchen make random gurgling sounds (I slept with earplugs so it didn't bother me). Overall, these are minor things that wouldn't prevent us from staying here again. We enjoyed our peaceful stay & slept very well.

Privacy, parking spot, amenities, clean, friendly hosts, tasteful decor, internet access, semi stocked kitchen and pantry... coffee and toaster worked great My wife loved the heated toilet seat.
Bed mattress is too soft, which made it difficult to get decent sleep. The lock mechanism didn't cooperate very well. Had to try multiple times to ensure the door stayed locked. Everything else was perfect.
