Dreadful Experience at Grand Hotel La Pace, Sant'Agnello, Sorrento

Nothing at all, it was very poor!

This was rated as a 5 star hotel, which it definitely is not. At best it's a 3 star, although Villa Crawford nearby is a 3 star property and much much better. The reception has large banners advertising Jet 2 and looks very tacky. I was not aware it was all inclusive of meals. On first day we had lunch while waiting for the room and it was very poor quality, so we did not eat in the hotel at all for the rest of the stay. Not even for breakfast! In the room the furniture was chipped and cracked and around bed there were exposed wires from lights. The safe did not work. The window view from the room was over a building site. In the bar there was a coffee machine that served the most dreadful coffee and no barista. So we could not even get a good coffee and the nearest bar was around 15 minute walk. I wanted to leave our luggage after checking out of the room and before leaving the hotel and it could only be put into an open room outside reception. Not secure and no control. I am used to the reception taking the bags,, keeping in secure room behind desk or a locked room and providing tickets for each bag deposited. I have used Booking.com for many years and have made numerous bookings through this site. The has to be the worst booking of all and the stay was massively disappointing.

Estrutura do hotel excelente e tudo muito limpo. As pessoas do staff eram todas simpáticas e prestativas. Todas as refeições eram muito boas e a limpeza do hotel excelente. Certamente retornaremos!

  Beautiful and accommodating staff

Very accommodating staff the reception staff Francesca went above and beyond to help us. The hotel staff were amazing helped me every sitting for food as I am gluten intolerant and they showed me what I can eat. The entertainment was perfect The pool was great the views were amazing The free shuttle bus was a bonus All round one of the best places we have stayed and it is the staff that make it. We picked wrong room so I did not get views that I had wanted from our balcony but on a whole the whole experience of the hotel made up for that. And I know to make sure to book a room with a view next time not that is affected our stay.
