Excellent Hotel in a Great Location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Mercure Beijing Central. The hotel is comfortable, well maintained and ideally located for exploring Beijing, with many of the city’s main attractions within easy reach. The staff were excellent throughout our stay, always friendly, welcoming and helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and their hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable. The hotel offers very good facilities, with everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The restaurants were also very nice, offering a good choice of food in pleasant surroundings. Overall, an excellent hotel combining comfort, a convenient location, good facilities and outstanding service. We would certainly recommend the Grand Mercure Beijing Central to anyone visiting Beijing and would happily stay here again.

Decent hotel, near to forbidden city and shopping street Wanfujing. 2 metros within 15 minutes away
Room was of good size and hotel is located about 12 minutes walk from Xiwan metro station and the cluster of malls by this metro. As such, it was easy to get around. Also, it's just 2 metro stops to TienAnMeng square area and three stops to the walking street, Wanfujing. Breakfast was decent enough and have enough choices to meet most palates.
Hotel is starting to show it's age but it has to be said, all things are functioning. It just feel 'aged' a bit.
