Beautiful, thoughtfully prepared and relaxing
When I booked this I hadn’t appreciated how remote it was; there is of course a ferry which does dramatically reduce the journey from The Glencoe and Fort William direction but the road route from the north whilst taking forever, it worth doing once as you will run past the top of the Loch where you will see Otters and it is just so quiet and enjoyable to take in. That is what I will say is the magic of staying here; this is the Scotland we wanted to see and the three nights we had here are the best of our trip. It is easy to find; postcode brings you where you need to be and there are plenty of signs. We found it was a good base to explore out toward the west where the roads are quiet and whilst tourism remains a big part of what the area offers, the places we visited were not crowded. The house is a really good size. The rooms are all a good sized, well finished and comfortable. There is good Wi-Fi and every TV has smart functions so you can add your streaming accounts. Plenty of towels are provided along with essentials like loo roll, but they also have coffee and tea etc. The hot tub was fun to try, a bit hot for our liking but as it rained most of the time we were there, it probably needed to be to take the edge off. When planning or trip I took advice from a lot of people who had been before and many of the places they recommended were really overcrowded and disappointing. If you want to experience the real beauty of this landscape then this location is worth visiting and we highly recommend Grant Cottage.

We loved every bit of this stay, it's amazing, everything you need in the house, hot tub was an added bonus but the location and house was exceptional!
