A gem - and one to treasure!
Everything about our brief stay was superb. Over the last thirty years, my line of work has meant that I've stayed in hundreds of B&B's throughout the UK - Grayling House is up among the very best of these. Rick was a perfect host: helpful, considerate and attentive without being intrusive.

Unser Aufenthalt im Grayling House war wirklich rundum wunderbar!
Für unseren Kurzurlaub war das Grayling House die absolut perfekte Wahl. Ich war für zwei Tage mit meinem Sohn bei unserem Gastgeber Rick, und wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt – die Gastfreundschaft ist wirklich phänomenal und herzlich! Das B&B verkörpert genau die Idylle und das unverwechselbare Flair, das man sich vom ländlichen England erträumt: gemütlich, stilvoll und herrlich entschleunigend. Auch als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Region ist die Unterkunft ideal: Weltberühmte Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Stonehenge oder die geschichtsträchtige Salisbury Cathedral mit ihrem berühmten Kirchturm sind in kurzer Fahrzeit bequem erreichbar. Ganz besonders möchte ich jedoch die traumhafte Naturkulisse direkt vor der Haustür hervorheben. Ich bin an beiden Tagen frühmorgens laufen gegangen – über die kleine Brücke und links hinauf in den herrlichen Wald. Bei bestem Wetter war das ein unvergleichlicher Naturgenuss. Wer dem Alltagstrubel entfliehen möchte und einen Ort sucht, der pure Erdung, Ruhe und traditionelles britisches Landleben bietet, dem kann ich das Grayling House von ganzem Herzen empfehlen! For our short getaway, Grayling House was the absolute perfect choice. I stayed here for two days with my son, and our host Rick made us feel welcome from the very first moment – the hospitality is truly phenomenal and heartfelt! The B&B perfectly embodies the idyllic charm and unmistakable flair you dream of when picturing the English countryside: cozy, stylish, and delightfully relaxing. As a base for exploring the region, the accommodation is ideal: world-famous landmarks such as Stonehenge and the historic Salisbury Cathedral with its famous spire are easily reached within a short drive. However, I particularly want to highlight the gorgeous natural scenery right on the doorstep. I went running early on both mornings – across the little bridge and up to the left into the wonderful woods.
