The location was incredible, right in the heart of the palace. The ceiling in the living room area was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. The hosts accommodated our early midday arrival which was brilliant. The breakfasts, at a nearby restaurant on the square, were very good, tremendous choice.

There didn't seem to be enough hot water?:

Unparalleled Location, a piece of history!

This place was phenomenal - actually being inside of the Unesco Palace, with a window that looks right out onto Diocletian's Palace square, and having a 13th century painted ceiling was truly an unexpected treat. There is a mini fridge and kettle, the bedroom is unexpectedly quiet given the central location. We were so pleased with this booking!

This is nothing at all against the property but if you have a rental car, consider parking arrangements ahead. We found a 24hr garage that was about a 15-20 minute walk but it was a bit expensive (48 euro per day). Split is a city made before cars and parking is not easy.

Location can’t be more central. It more than makes up for the little bit of noise.

Location was amazing. The Diocletian’s Palace court yard is right outside your window. There is music at night. Very roomy unit. Historical building in the center of the palace.

The bathroom area is tiny but to be expected. The bells clanging early in the morning might be annoying if you are sensitive to noise. It didn’t bother me but woke my husband up both mornings. Since it’s very central, you might hear voices of pedestrians at night. It didn’t bother me.

The location and view from the apartment window is quite unforgettable however, prepare yourself for the potential for v

The location and the fact it is a UNESCO listed property in the very heart of the old town directly opposite the Diocletian Palace.

Booking.com provides an inaccurate description of parking facilities. There is no ‘valet parking’ & there is no ‘parking garage’. There are car parks around Split and the one recommended to us by our host near the tunnel cost us €48 to park in overnight. The next complication is transporting your luggage (we had two 23kg suitcases) and opted to leave them in the car and carry our bare essentials in our backpacks to the apartment because it would have been very challenging to try and drag & carry them over the town cobblestones and up the narrow staircase to the apartment.

Beautiful property, ideally located, historically extraordinary.

    Excellent.

Be sure to confirm details. We read in advance that our luggage would be held on our last day (because we had a late plane). Our wonderful host Katya helped us find a place elsewhere that stored luggage, but we had to pay a fee.
