  Magisch

  Es war ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis, in dieser Felsenwohnung zu schlafen. Nicht nur der Ort selbst war ungewöhnlich, sondern auch Einrichtung und Beleuchtung.

  One of the major highlights in our 7 week trip around Italy.

  The Grotto is absolutely stunning. The ambience, lighting etc was first class. Everything has been thought out really well and the cave has everything that you need. The location is great and within walking distance to all the main sights. Matera is situated on a hill so you must be prepared for many steps! We used autoservizi Damascus to park the car in a secure garage. It was €20 for the night as they have an agreement with Grotto Barisano. We walked from the garage to the Grotto as was downhill and it took us 10-15 minutes as we got distracted by views and got a little lost! Matera is beautiful and well worth visiting.

  Estadia muito boa, com final frustrante ,

  A caverna é exatamente como nas fotos muito linda, bem decorada . Iluminação impactante em todos o espaço, porém no banheiro achei muito escuro, tive que usar a lanterna do celular para maquiagem e uso de lentes de contato. Não tinha touca de banho e condicionador de cabelos. É um apto completo com cafeteira e cápsulas de café.Embora não tenha café da manhã incluído na diária acho que 1 bolachinha poderia agregar valor pois os restaurantes próximos só abrem às 10hs. Tive dificuldade de encontrar a caverna pois o Google maps indicava o caminho pelas escadas, indicar tb um tuk tuk poderia ser oferecido como opção. Estadia foi muito boa com final frustrante, pois esqueci minha aliança em cima do balcão, entrei em contato com a anfitriã inclusive com foto do anel mas não consegui recuperar.

  De não ter sido recepcionada por ninguém e ter que pagar por link, prefiro pagar direto pelo booking ou ao anfitrião. . De não ter nem 1 garrafa de água natural ou que pudesse comprar. De todas as 12 acomodações que fiquei na Itália era a única que não tinha.

  Great cave hotel experience!

  Very beautiful accommodation. Exactly what you want in a "cave hotel" experience. The accent lighting, layout of interior itself, all beautiful. Everything & more! Comfy bed. Excellent location! As a tip, if you're getting their with a driver/taxi, get dropped off in front of Ristorante da Nico, and Grotto Barisano is back in the alley 50 feet or so. Highly recommend!

  Fantastic experience and would happily stay there again

  Perfectly located, amazing and unique setting, very helpful host

  Annoying cleaner tried to push us out early (twice!) well before agreed check out time.
