A lovely break from the hustle and bustle of a hectic life.
The Grove Farmhouse was a fantastic, quiet and scenic location. Situated down small country lanes away from the hustle and bustle of the main roads the location provided a quiet and calm get away. The host was friendly and eager to please. The house does have three dogs at the time I stayed, which added to the experience for me. Breakfast was on time and of an acceptable standard, though the cooking did fluctuate a little resulting in some very hard bacon one day but fantastic bacon another. Over all, it was a very enjoyable stay.
I was surprised by the lack of an overhead light in the room in which I stayed. This did not cause a problem, but it was a surprise. Also being a old farm house spiders are naturally everywhere, this in itself is not an issue, however in the bathroom it was clear that they had not been cleared out for sometime.

If you are looking for homely with comfort and beautiful surroundings this is the place to go
I had the most wonderful stay in this beautiful house. The room had tea coffee and a fridge for milk and a bottle of water. Plus because they knew I was gluten free so they supplied some very nice chocolate gluten free biscuits! I have never had that before even in much more expensive places! I was offered help to get to places near by and the breakfast area was delightful. There is a beautiful room where guests are invited to use. It has comfortable sofas and a door on to a beautiful garden that has stunning views. The breakfast was delicious freshly cooked and a very good choice was given. The worst part was leaving I would have loved to have stayed longer in this delightful cocoon of comfort in the heart of a beautiful area.
