Sehr britisch, sehr familiär
Grove House ist ein tolles Bed & Breakfast, sehr britisch, sehr familiär, sehr gemütlich. Linda und Jonathan machen jeden morgen ein leckeres Frühstück und gehen da gut auf die Wünsche. Beim Frühstück kann man auch mit beiden plaudern oder mit den anderen Gästen. Da gibt es auch gute Tipps, was man sich ansehen könnte. Im Zimmer gibt es einen Minikühlschrank mit ein paar Getränken, die bei Verbrauch aufgefüllt werden. Auch der Garten ist sehr schön, mit mehreren Sitzgruppen. Poppelton liegt ca. 5 km außerhalb von York, wo man mit Bus und Bahn und auch mit dem Fahrrad gut hinkommt. Das Dorf ist ruhig, ohne Durchgangsverkehr und hat drei Pubs. In zweien davon kann man sehr gut essen.
Das unser Urlaub zu Ende war und wir abreisen mußten.

Grove House - first class
Linda and Jonathan were excellent and friendly hosts who made us feel welcome from the beginning to end of of 4 day stay in their beautiful home. They gave us superb advice on local attractions and trips. The attention to detail in the service they provide is first class as is their extensive use of beautiful local and home-made foodstuffs (well done Linda). Top marks to this wonderful guest house.
Nothing - apart from not able to stay for longer !
