This property is a self-check-in property, and you will be requested to verify your identity before checking into the property. Check-in can be done from 2 PM, pending availability and confirmation. Once a reservation is confirmed, guests are requested to complete a guest registration form following the legal obligations stipulated by local authorities in Portugal. There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 smoking fee at minimum. Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€. For the first days, we provide the basic amenities: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products and bin bag. Extra keys: 20€ (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys or service to open the door during your stay). Extra cleaning with linen: the price of a cleaning fee. Extra Clothing: 30€ (Towels and sheets for 2pax, i.e. when the sofa bed is not included).This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions. A deposit may be required at the property.

View of the Cathedral every morning, with all the amenities you need!
The location for the property, vis-à-vis the price, cannot be beat. It was central, and the view of the Cathedral outside your window every morning really makes one want to always leave the windows open and light in. And accomodation offered coffee pods, it made the view that much more spectacular :-) Shower pressure was perfect. The bed was just right, not too soft and not too hard. The accomodation is close to the São Bento Stations (regional and metro), so if you want to do day trips out of Porto, it made for a very viable choice to enjoy Portugal's clean, well-priced public transport, and to see the sights. I was able to make it to Braga, Aveiro and Costa Nova with no hassel. There is an option to store your luggage with a service provider, the accomodation offers. However, because the apartment is also close to the train stations there are options at the stations too, incase you are using the stations to get to the apartment. I have nothing to complain about with this apartment. I have already bookmarked it for my next trip :-P!
The only thing, for me, was that a few routes to the apartment involved steps. As I have a bad knee, I care about this. However, once I changed my map preference, navigation was fine!

Pleasent overall, but due to the MAJOR negative, I am giving it 4/10.
Posivites: good location; easy to get in at checkin; clean; modern; beautiful view; small welcome box with coffee pods, dishwasher pod, everything that was needed; clean towles; all at the location was beyond expectations. Very good price for what we got. I will for sure choose GuestReady again for future stays. Please read on for the negatives.
Negative: only 1 MAJOR negative: on one night we got back after 10.30 pm and we were locked outside in the street, because the main gate had been locked by key, and we were not given a key to the gate. Even with calling the emergency number provided, no solution was given (only a bit absurd things like: ask neighours for help ... everyone was sleeping. Should we just yell at the building to wake some stranger up? Seems ridiculous) After 40 minutes on the street, and calling again, the only solution provided was to accomodate us at another location, 1 km away, in another GuestReady apartment, less modern. Not at all ideal. We did not have access to our belongings, clothes, cosmetics, phone charger. Handled poorly, mainly because the building manager did not answer the emergency calls. A simple code for the car gate would have solved the issue in 5 min :( I am sure GuestReday did all they could, but this was really unpleasent to say the least. Either give gate key to all people staying, or no keys at all. This way nobody can lock other people outside.
