Disappointing stay with poor communication, unavailable facilities and basic items not provided.
The location to the Main Street is walking distance and good location.
Writing Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing, with several issues that should have been addressed by the motel. One of the main reasons we booked this motel was the swimming pool, as we were attending a sporting event during the warmer weather. We were not advised prior to arrival that the pool was not operational, which was frustrating and would have influenced our booking decision, especially at $190 a night. There were also no towels provided in our room. We had to follow this up with reception early the next morning and were told that if we had mentioned it at check-in, the towels would have been delivered. Given we checked in around dinner time, providing basic necessities such as towels should not be something guests are expected to check or request. The water pressure and temperature were another concern, as they appeared to be affected by other rooms using the water. The temperature would fluctuate between scalding hot and freezing cold, making it uncomfortable and potentially unsafe. Finally, the kettle in our room was absolutely disgusting and clearly needed a thorough clean before being made available for guests. Overall, these issues made our stay less enjoyable than expected. Better communication about unavailable facilities, improved room cleanliness and ensuring basic amenities are provided would go a long way towards improving the guest experience.
