A Perfect Oasis in Mexico City
My wife and I recently stayed at Hacienda Peña Pobre and cannot recommend it enough. Tucked away in the southern part of the city, this boutique property is the perfect, quiet retreat after a long day of exploring CDMX's vibrant neighborhoods and local dining. The hospitality was exceptional from the very first moment. We were greeted right at the entrance to the property, and by the time we walked over to reception, the staff was already fully prepared to receive us with refreshing welcome drinks. After check-in, they gave us a wonderful tour of the beautiful grounds, which blend historic hacienda charm with modern comforts and lush greenery, before personally walking us to our room. They had already taken our bags up for us, making settling in completely effortless. The thoughtful touches continued inside, where we were delighted to find a welcome gift of local candies and nuts waiting for us. The room itself was spacious, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable, providing a relaxing escape from the busy city outside. The attentive service didn't stop at check-in. Every time we left the property and called an Uber, the staff was right there to open the car door for us. Even better, whenever we returned and it was raining, they would literally run out to the car to meet us and provide us with an umbrella. We truly felt cared for during our entire stay here. If you are looking for a unique, beautifully maintained property in Mexico City that feels like a private sanctuary with top-tier service, this is the place to book. We had a fantastic experience and would absolutely return!
