    Lovely cottage and great location, would recommend… once you find it!

    Location and overall facilities

    Address details & Instructions to find the property were poor, we couldn’t find it for an hour after arriving, and the woman on the phone gave poor directions… saying it wasn’t near the abbey steps but the opposite end of Church Street, which wasn’t correct. She was also not able to look as driving at the time, again poor. Only after asking her several time she said it’s on the pedestrian / cobbled street did I know where it was having been to Whitby several times before. It needs improved to help other visitors.

    Comfortable cosy cottage in a great location.

    Loved the location, cosiness of the cottage, comfortable beds and great showers.

    Stairs were difficult, TV was hard to use.

    Location was great Cosy cottage Everything you need home from home 2 bathrooms Overall a lovely place to stay .

    Carpet could do with a clean, but we understand dog friendly stay.

    Great location. Not so great cottage.

    Great location.

    The cottage is smaller than it appears- we were 2 adults and 2 young children staying, but it wasn’t easy for us to sit in comfortably. No high chair. The cottage wasn’t very clean at all, stains on sofa and cushions, wrappers and rubbish not cleaned up under sofa cushions from previous guests. Stains on carpets. Generally quite dirty, dust, lots of cobwebs, showers need a good scrub, drawers in kitchen dirty, utensils and cups dirty. Outside area not well kept, table and chairs dirty, it’s peak summer season, there should be no reason for it to be like this. Given the price i’d also expect a little welcome tray with tea, coffee etc but there was nothing at all. Upstairs bathroom smelt strongly of urine like the floor hadn’t been mopped.
