    Great gastropub near the M6

    1) very near the M6 but in the country. 2) characterful gastropub with four rooms. 3) the bedroom and pub were warm. 4) delicious, competitively priced food. 5) huge choice of draft beers.

    1) breakfast didn't start until 8am, was table service and was slow - not good if you want to make a quick start down the M6. I would have preferred a buffet offering museli, fruit salad and greek yogurt.

    Nice stay

Sufficient parking. Friendly staff. Great bed. Good size room. Comfortable. Good food.

Breakfast starts at 8am, this is late for week days. I had a meeting at 9am in Preston and had to rush now. 730 breakfast would have been appreciated.
